Another successful Roppongi Party

13/11/23

24 men 35 women

No coupling at Roppongi parties.

This was another very successful Roppongi party. For those of you who don't know, this party is unlike our other events. It's all 'free-style'. Basically, theres no speed dating, and indeed no format of any kind really. It's all just mingling really. Everyone can speak to whoever they want whenever they want. There's also alcohol and some food available at the bar. All round, it's a very different event to our usual Friday night parties.

This was another successful one, albeit slightly smaller than previous events, and with not such a good balance. Simon was away for the days leading up to the event and indeed for the event itself, and since quite a few women signed up last minute, we ended up with not such a good balance. We are used to having more women than men though, and it was no issue. There was still a great atmopshere at the event, and everyone (including the staff I think!) had a great time.

Great event in Ginza

13/11/8

19 men 20 women

12 couples

Quite a big party last night with a very good M:F balance. Most of the guests left as a couple too, which is pretty unusual for an event of this size. It's not so often that the number of couples will go into double figures, and it's normally a bigger event than this.

Perhaps with Christmas coming up in 6 weeks, some people were looking extra hard for someone to spend it with. As you maybe know, Christmas is a time for love in Japan, and is more of a season for couples than for families. Family time is New Year for Japanese people. So anyway, perhaps that was it, or perhaps it was just random. Our events do often seem to be pretty random in terms of... well, pretty much everything really. This was definitely one of the good ones though!

Exeo International in Umeda

13/10/18

12 men 16 women

6 couples

A decent night tonight in Umeda. There was a decent balance (although it was quite a small event), and half of the men made matches.

The numbers of guests at our events has been a little bit random of late, some weeks will only have around 25 in total, others will have over 40. A difference like that may not seem like much, but it makes a big difference in terms of the amount of time we can give guests to speak to each other.

We usually get men according to how many women are signed up, so that's why the numbers can be random. We don't aggressively sell these parties to women, so it's simply how many choose to sign themselves up.

9 couples in Ginza

13/5/24

17 men 20 women

9 couples

Most of the men left with a date following tonight's Ginza event.

A good atmosphere at the event, and a successful night all round. It was a big event without being too hectic. When there are more than 20 women, things tend to get quite chaotic, as there is so little time to talk to each women. The flip side though is obviously that you get to meet more women.

Simon is away for next week's event, but will be back for the first event of June on the 7th.

Best yet in Roppongi

13/4/27

38 men 50 women

Our best event so far in Roppongi, with a great atmosphere and a lot of fun had by all. Not many people seemed to leave by themselves, which is a great testament. It was good to share a drink with some of the regulars after the event too.

Big party in Ginza

13/3/22

20 men 28 women

9 couples

A pretty massive event in Ginza with 20 men and 28 women. Having this many women to talk to necessitated only a 1 minute conversation with each woman during the first round. Only a modicum of chaos ensued, and most of the guys did a good job of moving, despite it being so hectic.

We would have hoped for a few more couples, but bearing in mind we didn't do impression cards (due to the large number of guests), 9 out of a possible 20 wasn't at all bad, as we always have less couples when we don't do the impression cards.

Great balance in Nagoya, but...

13/3/8

9 men 10 women

1 couple (!)

It's not often we only have 1 couple at one of our events, especially out of a possible 9. A bit of a surprise, as this event had a great balance and a warm atmosphere. In fact, it was probably one of the best Nagoya events that we've had, or at least would have been had there been more couples.

Decent night in Ginza

13/3/8

14 men 15 women

7 couples

A good event tonight in Ginza. A little small, but with a great balance, good atmosphere, and half of the men leaving with a date.

We've been turning away a lot of guys trying to sign up late, so please reserve yourselves a spot as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Another good Nagoya event

13/1/11

9 men 13 women

6 couples

Another good Nagoya event this evening. The balance was okay (better than usual in Nagoya), and there was a good atmopshere inside the room.

6 out of the 9 men left with a date, which is a good success rate.

Our past few Nagoya event have been much better, and it's simply because we have had more men attending. Please do come along if you can guys.

A good event in Nagoya

12/11/9

11 men 17 women

7 couples

We had more men than usual at tonight's Nagoya event, which made for an excellent party. We had a lot of new guys come and join (I'm not sure why they all came tonight).

The party had a good atmosphere, and most of the men left with a date. We hope this is a sign of things to come in Nagoya, as we've generally struggled to get enough guys. Of course, we want even more than this, as there's so much unsatisfied demand from the women of Nagoya it seems!
